Maximum 9 Innovations Presented by Madhya Pradesh
Fourth National Health Innovations Summit Concluded

Innovation presented in the Fourth National Health summit will be implemented in all the states. Also innovations of various states were presented at the concluding day of summit held at Brilliant Convention Centre of Indore. Maximum 9 innovations more than the other states were presented by Madhya Pradesh which were lauded by all in the summit.

The 9 innovations of Madhya Pradesh include Cancer Chemotherapy Treatment, Free Dialysis Facility, E-Medicine, Women Health Camps, Swasthya Samvad Kendra, Dastak Abhiyan, HR MIS, Mansik Swasthya (Mankakshya) and Free Sterility Treatment.

An arrangement has been made in Chhatisgarh to collect information about purchasers buying medicines from private medical stores to ensure treatment of T.B. patients with DOTS method. This arrangement will help reaching patients to provide DOTS. Also ‘Mukhyamantri Shay Poshan Yojana’ has been started in order to eliminate problem of malnutrition among the T.B. patients. Under the scheme, government assistance is provided to improve the nutrition level of the patients.

Similarly, ‘Mukhbir Yojana’ has been started in Rajasthan with an objective to put an end to the trend of finding sex at the time of pregnancy through pre–delivery sex determination and check up techniques besides foeticide. Informers providing correct information have been rewarded under the scheme.

Medico Legal Court in Kerala

Necessary reforms have been made in the rules for women suffering from sexual atrocities to simplify the medical test procedure in Kerala. A medico legal court has been constituted for this and a criteria has been prepared for consent on test and primary treatment.

‘’Swasthya Vidhya Vahini’ has begun in Andhra Pradesh. Under this M.B.B.S students provide information on Aaganbadi centers, healthy life style visiting schools and houses, sanitation and nutrition to the citizens visiting villages. Moreover an arrangement has been made in Andhra Pradesh to keep vigil on quality of sanitation in government hospitals. Report regarding sanitation in government hospital is given three times in a day. Sanitation in the form of best, average and unsatisfactory category is being reported by the supervisor. Immediate action is taken on the basis of this report. Sanitation of health institutions are being monitored by Chief Minister also.

Presentation based on necessary efforts for protection from radiation caused by medical equipments like X-rays was given by Uttar Pradesh.

Team from Meghalaya gave presentation on the subject bio-medical waste management. A special innovation has been adopted for protective management of liquid waste substance in Meghalaya.

 

Awards to Districts of State

At the concluding day of the summit, various districts of Madhya Pradesh were awarded for successful implementation of “ Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matratva Abhiyan” and private medical institutions for awarded for their contribution.

First position was bagged by district Anuppur under the high priority districts for successful implementation of “Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matratva Abhiyan” whereas second position was secured by Raisen and third position was bagged by Dindori and Mandla district jointly. Under the normal category, Mandsaur bagged first whereas Jabalpur and Sehore secured second and third position respectively.

Institutions of private doctors like A.M.P. Dr. Madhuri Chandra, O.G.S. Dr. Vandana Kundargi, I.M.A. Dr. Azad, and representatives of I.R.I.A. were honoured for active cooperation in the campaign. At the same time under the high priority district category , Dr. Varsha Arya of Mandla district, Dr. Rekha Agrawal of Chhatarpur and Dr. Rambaran Buddha were honoured for their contribution in the campaign.

Moreover, under the normal district category, Dr. Mita Agrawal and Dr. Monica Jindal Singh of Bhopal and Dr. Archana Shukla of Balaghat were honoured. Awrads were presented by Joint Secretary of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Government of India Shri Manoj Jhalani and Principal Secretary Public Health and family Welfare of Madhya Pradesh Smt. Gauri Singh.

Joint Secretary Government of India Shri Rajeshwar Rao, Commissioner Sushri Pallavi Govil, Mission Director Shri Sanjay Goyal, Former Mission Director Shri Kiran Gopal and Principal Secretaries of other states, Mission Directors, various Directors of Government of India, all the directors of state beside other senior officers were present in the concluding programme.
